Product Specialist working with SAP's Asset Accounting,
Investment Management, and Project Systems modules supporting the complete
capitalization process. |

Summary of SAP Experience |
I have a total of over 11 years experience working with SAP
modules. The bulk of this experience
has dealt with the area of Fixed Assets.
Starting in 1991 as an employee of SAP America, I supported the R/2
module (RA) for a total of seven years.
This also includes the design, development, and implementation of an
add-on module for satisfying the requirements for US Federal Tax
Depreciation. This modification
involved the creation of a shadow database, maintenance routines, and a
series of tax reports including but not limited to the Form 4562 Parts II and
III Analysis, and the Mid-quarter Convention Alert Report. With the advent of the R/3 system in 1992, I picked up
support of the Asset Management module and became one of the few employees to
actively support both systems (R/2 and R/3).
I was called on by product development in Walldorf to incorporate my
modifications for US Taxes into the core R/3 system that is being delivered
to customers today. This involved
developing and installing the calculations required to satisfy ACRS and MACRS
tax methods. I was also required to
perform hands-on configuration work for customers as well as internal SAP
systems. With the 3.0 release of R/3,
I became a member of the Roll-out Lead Team and picked up support of the
Investment Management module. I was
also responsible for configuring the IDES system, which is now used as the
model that is shipped out on the customer tapes, and designing the Investment
Management demo system for use at Sapphire. My responsibilities were not limited to implementation
and configuration. I was also
responsible for conducting the training courses offered both internally and
externally in the areas of Asset Management and Investment Management. Along with this, I was responsible for
developing and editing the documentation relating to each module I supported. I also designed and wrote the RA1020
course for the R/2 release, which consolidated two previous courses as well
as included new sections for practical application of the module in a
production environment and implementation of the US Federal Tax modification. Since 1998 I have been acting as a contract consultant
offering my services in the areas of configuration, implementation,
presentations, training, and documentation of SAPs Asset Management,
Investment Management, and Project Systems modules. I support the complete capitalization process.
